Three Roads is an exploration of three poems with which I have a profoundly deep and personal relationship. The first road is “La Verace Via” (“The True Path”) with text excerpts from Canto I of “Inferno,” from Dante’s Divine Comedy. The text is sung in the original Italian. The second road is “The Road Not Taken,” with a text excerpt from Robert Frost’s poem of the same title. The third road is “The Open Road,” with text excerpts from Walt Whitman’s Song of the Open Road. I would like to thank David Akbari for his sound programming of the “selva oscura” in the first road. The work is dedicated to Sister’s Sneeze.
