Composer Judd Greenstein was born and raised in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York City, where he began his compositional life by writing hip-hop beats as a teenager. Now a resident of Brooklyn, Judd is a passionate advocate for the indie classical community in New York as a co-director of New Amsterdam Records and as the Managing Director of NOW Ensemble. His music can be frequently heard in New York’s concert halls, clubs, galleries, and as beyond. He was recently heard at Bumbershoot, the Festival Internacional de Chihuahua, and the Bang on a Can Summer Festival Marathon.
