Carnegie Hall Family Concert: The New York Pops
The Polar Express

On December 19, Notables and their families attended a special holiday cookie-decorating reception sponsored by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, following a Carnegie Hall Family Concert featuring The New York Pops and images from Chris Van Allsburg’s beloved childrens’ book The Polar Express. Broadway’s John Tartaglia narrated the performance, which featured the Young People’s Chorus of New York City. The event was held in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the publication of Van Allsburg’s Caldecott Medal–winning book.

We’d like to thank everyone who donated gift bags for the event: Mamatini, Karlen Williams Graybill, Kiss My Face, Warner Music Group, SoLUXE, Crewcuts, Reebok Kids Club, Worth Collection, and CRUMBS. We’d also like to thank Mary Wible Vertin, Carrie Cloud, Christin Barringer Rueger, and Caroline Rocco Dennis for arranging the special event.
