Osvaldo Golijov and Dawn Upshaw Workshop
Composer Osvaldo Golijov and soprano Dawn Upshaw, whose collaborations include the acclaimed chamber opera Ainadamar and song cycle Ayre, guide eight young composers and eighteen young professional singers through the collaborative process, from a composition’s conception to the final performance. The world premiere performances of the new works were held in Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall in May 2009 under the direction of conductor Alan Pierson.
