The Count Me In afterschool initiative provides support to New York City middle school singers looking to continue their musical growth at performing arts high schools. Starting in late September and meeting twice a week for five weeks, students from across the city receive vocal instruction and training, preparing them for auditions to performing arts high schools starting in November 2015. Meanwhile, school staff and parents attend informational sessions to learn more about how to support their young musicians as they transition to the arts high school environment. All Count Me In sessions take place in Carnegie Hall's Resnick Education Wing.
Applications are now closed, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to be put on a wait list.
Sessions are for eighth-grade students who are committed to auditioning for performing arts high schools. Students may apply for Count Me In with the application available for download on this page.
