• Richard Goode Master Class

    For Classical Pianists Ages 18–35

    March 27, 2015

The incomparable Richard Goode explores Debussy’s preludes in a master class for pianists. Three pianists will be selected to participate in a two-hour public master class, followed by a discussion session, to be held in the Judith and Burton Resnick Education Wing. Invited participants will also have the opportunity to attend Mr. Goode’s Zankel Hall performance on March 26, 2015 at 7:30 PM.

    Application Deadline: November 14, 2014

Invited candidates will be notified by December 12, 2014.

  • Application Requirements

In addition to a completed online form, all applicants must submit a short biography (100-word maximum), a current headshot, a one-page resume, two letters of recommendation, and an audition recording. The audition recording (video is strongly encouraged where possible) should include your unedited performances of the following:

    • A Debussy prelude
    • A work or a movement of larger work in a contrasting style from the Debussy

All materials will be submitted electronically through DecisionDesk, a service that provides a digital audition platform to many performing arts schools and programs. As part of the application, you will be asked to enter e-mail addresses for your recommenders—two are required, a third is optional. They will receive a link to an online recommendation form after you submit your completed application. Please note that this e-mail will be sent directly from DecisionDesk (not Carnegie Hall). Your references will have until November 28 to complete and submit their confidential recommendations.

    Application Fee

A $10 application fee is required at the time you submit your application.
