We left the hotel early and drove to the AKI Press Center for our second press conference of the tour. It went smoothly until one reporter asked us if we "believed in God." After we politely declined to answer that question we ended the session and headed over to the Kyrgyz National Conservatory. The deputy vice rector was very gracious. We played some American music for everyone, some of which they recognized, and they were particularly excited to hear us perform one of their own Kyrgyz songs. That instantly created a relationship between the students and us.

After lunch and a short rest we went to the Philharmonic for our dress rehearsal in the hall. It's good that there was a full house because the acoustics in the hall were very live. It was a successful first concert, and the audience was enthusiastic. After lots of pictures with the Semetei Quartet, we went to a beer garden/restaurant called Steinbräu to have some beer and sausages.
