More Information:

In its third program of Schumann and Beethoven paired with a new work, the Takács Quartet plays music in many moods. Schumann’s quartet is serene, while Beethoven’s moves effortlessly from cheerful to dramatic, with its dazzling concluding fugue. John Psathas likens his music to “seeing things—that aren’t really there—in the corner of one’s eye.”
