Lars Vogt, Piano

SCHUBERT Piano Trio in B-flat Major, D. 898
DVOŘÁK Piano Trio in F Minor, Op. 65

This concert is made possible, in part, by the A.L. and Jennie L. Luria Foundation.

More Information:

Schubert and Dvořák both had an irrepressible spontaneity, and each of their piano trios flow as smoothly―and as naturally―as a running brook. But there’s a difference. Schubert’s trio seems deceptively carefree as the sunshine, while Dvořák’s is darker, more overtly alternating between light and shadows.
