Since 1996, Sonido Isleño (Island Sound) is a bi-cultural group of musicians that has been impressing New York audiences with their string and percussion fusion of Spanish-Caribbean music and modern jazz.

Sonido Isleño, or “Island Sound,” celebrates the diverse sounds encountered in New York City. The group performs a blend of traditional Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Cuban music, as well as jazz and contemporary rhythm and blues.
