With members from Cuba, Argentina, Israel, Puerto Rico, and the US, Son de Madre is a Latin band with international flavor. Based on Cuban music, their sound is infused with other influences, such as jazz, funk, and Brazilian styles. Son de Madre’s debut album Rumberos, which showcases this diversity, has received critical acclaim all over the world. Two songs from this album were chosen to represent Latin bands from New York in World Music Network’s international compilation of Latin bands.
