More Information:

Falu is widely recognized for a rare ability to seamlessly blend a modern, inventive rock style with a formidable vocal talent shaped by Indian classical style. Falu was rigorously trained in the Jaipur musical tradition and studied under the legendary sarangi-vocal master Ustad Sultan Khan. Bringing together a tight mix of East and West—ancient and modern—Falu’s projects have included performances as part of Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Project in 2004 and with A.R. Rahman, composer of the Slumdog Millionaire movie score, at the White House in 2009. Falu also has collaborated with Karsh Kale, Wyclef Jean, and Philip Glass.
