  • Tours FAQ

    1. When do you give tours?
Tours are given during our season, which runs approximately from October through June. During the season, depending on the Hall’s schedule, tours are given from Monday through Friday at 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 2 PM, and 3 PM; on Saturday at 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM; and on Sunday at 12:30 PM. We recommend arriving fifteen minutes early to purchase tickets as availability is limited.

    2. Where do I go for the tour and how long do the tours last?
Tours depart from the main lobby and last approximately one hour.

    3. Who gives the tours?
Tours are given by our highly trained volunteer docents.

    4. How much do tours cost?
Tours cost $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors over 55, and $5 for children under the age of 12.

    5. Can I book in advance?
No, our tours are given on a walk-in basis only. We do offer discounted booked tours for groups of twenty or more.

    6. How can I check the schedule?
The final version of the schedule is posted weekly at carnegiehall.org/tours.

    7. Why aren’t your tours always available?
Unfortunately, as Carnegie Hall is a working rehearsal and performance space, we have to wait until we have the final rehearsal schedule before we can give tours the go-ahead. Sometimes this doesn’t happen until a week or two before the date.

    8. How do I book a group tour?
Booked tours for groups of twenty or more are available. Please request a group tour HERE, email tours@carnegiehall.org for more information, or call 212-903-9765.
