The Coordinator works closely with the Director and Senior Associate, Educational Media and
Technology, and members of the Weill Music Institute staff to contribute to the development,
creation and ongoing support of educational media and technology initiatives that connect to all
programmatic areas within the Weill Music Institute (WMI) at Carnegie Hall, including Learning and
Engagement, Social Impact, and Artistic Training programs. The Coordinator is responsible for the
implementation of a wide range of educational media and technology activities, reaching local,
national, and international audiences of students, educators, families, young artists, and adult
learners. The Coordinator will:
• collaborate with the Director and Senior Associate, Educational Media/Technology to
support effective management of the media and technology projects of Carnegie Hall’s Weill
Music Institute;
• coordinate audio and audiovisual recording and postproduction of digital educational
resources, including maintaining production schedules and communicating with vendors;
• coordinate departmental technology resources, including scheduling and tracking the use of
• post content online, optimize digital content for search and discoverability, including efforts
to make content accessible to users with special needs;
• collect digital metrics and deliver quarterly KPI reports on digital media content;
• organize and maintain departmental digital assets and storage media; collaborate with the
Archives department on the long-term storage of digital assets;
• play a central role in development and implementation of online educational programming;
• work closely with the youth programs team to support the use of digital media and
technology in youth programs, including digital music production workshops and digital
learning portfolios;
• participate in the assessment of Educational Media and Technology programs, in
collaboration with advisers, educators, teaching artists, students, and WMI staff members;
• provide general support in processing invoices, tracking budgets and expenditures, and other
administrative tasks as assigned.



• Familiarity with technology and software for music production, audio recording, and video
• Familiarity with video production project management in all phases of production, postproduction
and distribution.
• Administrative experience involving education and/or community programs that integrate
digital media and technology, preferably within a music setting;
• Familiarity with issues pertaining to the use of digital media and technology in education and
community engagement, familiarity with educational apps, internet-based resources for
teachers and students, webinar production and web-based videoconferencing, and social
media in education;
• Capacity to support and nurture professional relationships with artists, external contractors,
production companies, media organizations, and other individuals and institutions;
• Experience with contract administration, check requests, and budget tracking; and
• Strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
