Carnegie Hall seeks a Manager, Foundation Relations. Responsibilities include assisting the Foundation Relations Director in all aspects of foundation fundraising, with primary focus on restricted grant solicitations, proposal preparation, grant reporting, research, and related administrative duties. Write restricted grant proposals, reports; write concept papers/overviews/LOIs for prospective donors; supervise Foundation Relations assistant on selected proposals, reports, and stewardship.Work closely with Carnegie Hall program staff to identify new projects for Foundation support, to represent donor interests in managing existing grants and relationships, to gather information to produce high quality proposal and reports. Uncover new funding opportunities by monitoring the Foundation’s field; supervise as needed the research and writing of Foundation Profiles by intern and assistant. Develop and maintain relationships with Foundation program staff through email, calls, meetings. Manage multiple, major donors relationships against fundraising plans, using Tessitura database, to ensure all contractual commitments stewardship plans and are met. Develop cultivation and stewardship strategies for donors to enable Foundation Relations to meet revenue goals.
BA/BS degree with 3 or more years of work experience required or equivalent graduate degree. Grants writing experience and music or arts background strong pluses. Highly organized and detail-oriented individual must possess strong written and verbal communications skills. Computer knowledge and experience with database management essential. Some evening and weekend hours required to meet proposal and reporting deadlines, for special events and during performance season.
