Carnegie Hall seeks to fill the position of Manager of the Notables Program, Carnegie Hall’s vibrant young donor group of music enthusiasts in their 20s and 30s.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the Notables program, Carnegie Hall’s membership program for donors in their 20s and 30s, including portfolio of upper-level young donors in New York and Tokyo, with the core responsibility of generating new members and meeting explicit annual revenue / fundraising goals 
  • Work with the Patron team and Major Gifts on strategies to achieve fundraising goals by researching prospects, drafting correspondence and proposals for annual and restricted gifts, staffing patron dinners and cultivation events, and administrative duties as needed 
  • Notables Manager will also lead the Carnegie Hall Notables Committee – a diverse group of New York’s young leaders; ensure committee members are engaged and active by establishing open communication and encouraging new ideas. Lead the Notables Committee to ensure revenue goals are met, membership benefit events are successful, and new ideas are discussed consistently to generate membership growth
  • Oversee large-scale membership appreciation events from conception to completion including two events for up to 600 guests with private Notables-only concerts in Zankel Hall and after-parties.
  • Collaborate with special events team to secure and work with external venues, establish and maintain complex event budgets, work with Corporate Relations to secure event underwriting support, obtain in-kind contributions for events(beverage and media), and collaborate with public affairs and marketing department colleagues to ensure each membership event’s success and to raise awareness of the Notables program and The Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall
  • Work closely with artistic programming team to contract high profile talent for biannual Notables membership cultivation and fundraising events 
  • Manage all communications with Notables members and prospects including copywriting for monthly Notables Picks emails and other invitations, renewal notices, and e-blasts; mail acknowledgement “welcome” letters to new members, and facilitate all event-related communications (save-the-dates, formal invitations, e-blasts, and RSVP confirmations)
  • Maintain Notables website and work closely with colleagues from Development, Marketing, and Public Relations on various campaigns, membership events, and social media projects

 

 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years managerial/relevant experience
  • Stellar written, verbal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to sustain and grow a dynamic and vibrant young donor group
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with high level donors and engage leadership
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, able to work independently, while ensuring continual communication and updates to Director and Chief Development Officer, and managing multiple projects on tight deadlines
  • Experience with Tessitura preferred but not required
  • Understanding of classical music and enthusiasm for the arts
