The Marketing Analyst is a key support role, working throughout the Marketing department to monitor and report campaign effectiveness and response across platforms. The Marketing Analyst is responsible for timely and accurate reporting, identifying ideal report timelines and maintaining reporting schedules and deliverables, utilizing Tessitura (including Business Insights), WordFly, Audience 360 (NYC’s collaborative arts marketing database), Google Analytics, Facebook, YouTube and other platforms. They will be a skilled Excel user and effective data visualizer, with the ability to share accurate numbers and narrative insights to accompany them. The successful candidate will enjoy using data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement, growth, and engagement across campaigns and platforms for Carnegie Hall Presents concert season, Weill Music Institute (WMI) (education and social impact) programming, and online content and engagement. They will be a curious, enthusiastic, and data-driven partner to colleagues across the institution.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely analysis and response reports for marketing platforms and campaigns, including email, direct mail, lead generation, web traffic, content and online programs, and others as requested.
  • Develop and utilize analytic tools for making timely, data-driven decisions to optimize revenue through dynamic and variable pricing and seat releases, through use of various systems or creation of customized reports/models.
  • Design user-friendly data visualizations and dashboards using datasets from multiple sources to aid in communication with stakeholders.
  • Work closely in Marketing and across other departments to review and optimize Carnegie Hall’s online programming and campaigns, including ticket sales, content, and recruitment.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology to run point on Marketing needs in Tessitura. Familiarize themselves with all application or reporting changes in subsequent Tessitura versions.
  • Support the Chief Marketing Officer with research projects and efforts, both Carnegie Hall specific and cohort-based, utilizing internal resources (Survey Monkey) and/or working closely with external research partners.
  • Generate telemarketing leads from Tessitura for the annual subscription campaign; liaise and meet regularly with external telemarketing agency. 
  • Coordinate use of Carnegie Hall marketing lists for social media, email, and direct mail campaigns to ensure that name overuse does not occur. Liaise with Friends (Development) and WMI as needed for list pulls and coordination.
  • Act as Carnegie Hall’s day-to-day liaison with the Audience 360 collaborative marketing database, ensuring monthly CH data input and managing list exchanges for direct mail.
  • Input ticket pricing, sales history, and on-sale dates into in-house systems in support of revenue projections and other needs. Collaborate with Marketing and Ticketing to project revenue for individual events as requested. Liaise with Ticketing to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain all marketing source codes and appeals in Tessitura.
  • Support Carnegie Hall email marketing efforts by collaborating closely with Marketing and Digital Content & Engagement, utilizing Wordfly (email service provider).
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of reporting, analysis, and understanding of data insights and use.
  • Familiarity with ticketing and/or live events database.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of Tessitura, Tessitura Business Analytics, Google Analytics, Facebook, YouTube, Wordfly, and other reporting platforms is ideal; desire to learn and grow skills. Familiarity with Excel is critical.
  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
  • Possess expert proficiency at all levels of list building and be comfortable with training colleagues in list building.
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Interest in and ability to identify and learn new opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
  • Ability to problem solve, think creatively, and operate in a deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities.
  • Represent Carnegie Hall with external partners and organizations.
  • Curious, thoughtful, and desire to experiment, test and learn, iterate approaches.
  • Culturally sensitive communication skills, desire to learn and adapt.
  • Commitment to and enthusiasm for Carnegie Hall’s mission.
  • Occasional nights and weekends required.
