Scope: The Marketing Manager, Digital Products is the marketing lead for digital products, with a focus on national and international marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, smart, data-savvy individual passionate about optimizing organic opportunities and creating scalable digital advertising campaigns, tracking and analyzing data to determine KPIs, and adjusting strategy in real-time to optimize results and respond to emerging opportunities.

The Manager is accountable for ensuring a coherent yet impactful brand presence across all platforms and marketing vehicles, and for collaborating across the organization to deliver this, in keeping with Carnegie Hall brand standards. The Manager is responsible for developing holistic, multi-channel marketing campaigns, sharing plans and concepts for internal and partner feedback, crafting content and copy, and meeting project and marketing deadlines.

Digital product marketing experience is essential. International, national, and regional marketing campaign planning experience, as well as strong background and track record in effective project management is desired.  Music, streaming, television, and/or film marketing experience and interest is preferred.

The Manager reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and must thrive in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Be the primary driver of digital product marketing campaigns and supportive content marketing efforts, both in ideation and execution. Participate in and occasionally lead creative strategy sessions to inform approach.
  • Develop and execute specific project-based marketing support or campaigns as assigned.
  • Adhere to a consistent brand and marketing philosophy for digital products.
  • Review campaign strategies with stakeholders to ensure cross-platform opportunities are maximized; ensure stakeholder understanding of plans, timelines, opportunities, and recommendations for iteration.
  • Collaborate with partners, artists, and other external stakeholders to develop campaigns and maximize cross-promotional marketing opportunities on social media and other platforms.
  • Ensure that Carnegie Hall digital product appearances and fulfillment across partner platforms maximize available marketing opportunities, editorial placements, and the like. Manage workflow and delivery of marketing assets to partner platforms.
  • Build organic and paid promotional strategy for each platform and type of content, ensuring a content-first marketing strategy, in alignment with the Director, Digital Content and Engagement.
  • Align and coordinate media planning and purchases, as well as relationship management, with the Director, Marketing and Promotions.
  • Refine and communicate key messages; write effective, engaging, and accessible email and social media copy; coordinate execution with Digital Content & Engagement department.
  • Develop social media strategy, content, and plans for dedicated channels.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for alignment with in-person Carnegie Hall events and experiences; ensure opportunities to engage artists and audiences are optimized.
  • Manage and track budget expenditures; measure effectiveness of all marketing spends.
  • Submit creative, web development, social media, and email requests to fulfill marketing campaign timelines. Provide effective feedback; utilize colleagues to develop solutions.
  • Develop and launch targeted lead generation campaigns to grow pool of prospective users.
  • Commission supporting content cuts and releases from content producers with clarity and specificity.
  • Work closely with Public Relations to ensure alignment with key communications efforts.
  • Share progress and consistent reports, with recommendations for iteration and improvement.

  • Ability to craft unique campaigns and messages that break through a crowded marketplace. Copywriting experience for all mediums.
  • Knowledge of web technology, digital media, and social media platforms.
  • Thoughtful, transparent, and authentic communication skills.
  • Strong entrepreneurial instincts and the desire to explore new marketing tactics and platforms.
  • Data-driven decision maker, with ability to communicate key insights and findings.
  • Attention to detail, follow-up, and meeting deadlines are essential.
  • Experience in international, national, and regional marketing campaign development.
  • Experience in digital marketing techniques and campaign management and strategy (e.g. social media, search, display), including paid advertising and SEO/ASO.
  • Experience in marketing campaign development for television, film, and/or media preferred.
  • Proven brand-building experience.
  • Knowledge of SEO an asset.
  • Passion for and/or interest in all genres of music.
  • Commitment to Carnegie Hall’s mission.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience.
