Carnegie Hall Announces Summer Schedule for Box Office and CarnegieCharge

Note: Carnegie Hall will open for one night only this summer on Tuesday, July 22 at 8:00 p.m. for the Carnegie Hall debut performance of the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America conducted by David Robertson. The orchestra will perform Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, Radial Play by Samuel Adams, commissioned by Carnegie Hall, Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition (arr. Ravel), and Britten’s Violin Concerto, Op. 15, featuring violinist Gil Shaham.

CarnegieCharge and the Box Office will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19 and 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 20. The Carnegie Hall Rose Museum and Shop will be open to concert patrons on the evening of the concert.

Ticket On-Sale Dates for Carnegie Hall’s 2014–2015 Season:

  • Single tickets for Carnegie Hall’s 2014—2015 season will go on sale on Monday, August 18 at 8:00 a.m. for subscribers and donors and on Monday, August 25 at 8:00 a.m. for the general public. Subscription packages for the 2014–2015 season are currently available via the Carnegie Hall Box Office, CarnegieCharge, and

Carnegie Hall’s 2014–2015 season opens on Wednesday, October 1 at 7:00 p.m. with the Berliner Philharmoniker and Music Director Sir Simon Rattle. The program includes Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, Op. 45, Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in G Minor, Op. 26 featuring violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, and Stravinsky’s Closing Scenes from The Firebird.

Carnegie Hall Tours:  

  • Carnegie Hall’s tour program will be on hiatus for the summer beginning Tuesday,
    July 1

  • Carnegie Hall tours will resume for the 2014–2015 concert season on Wednesday,
    October 1
    and are given throughout the season Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.; Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.; and Sunday at 12:30 p.m. (when Hall schedule permits).

Tickets may be purchased at the Box Office Monday through Saturday starting at 11:00 a.m. and Sunday starting at noon. Each tour lasts approximately one hour and departs from the main lobby. Tickets are priced at $15.00 for adults, $10.00 for students and seniors, and $5.00 for children under 12. For more information, please visit or call 212-903-9765.

    Open Monday–Friday, 11:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

    CLOSED: July 1 through July 6 for Independence Day holiday; August 18 and 25; and September 1 for Labor Day holiday.

* The Carnegie Hall Gift Shop will reopen in its normal location on October 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and at pre-concert and during intermission. For more information, please visit or call 212-903-9610.

Rose Museum:

  • The Rose Museum at Carnegie Hall will close for the summer beginning on Tuesday, July 1. and will reopen for the 2014–2015 concert season on Wednesday, October 1. The Museum is free of charge and open to the public daily throughout the season from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and to ticketholders at concert time.
