(For Immediate Release: November 30, 2023, NEW YORK)—Carnegie Hall is excited to welcome Northwell Health as its first-ever Official Healthcare Partner, beginning with the Hall’s 2023–2024 season.

This new three-year partnership, which reflects Northwell Health’s longstanding commitment to providing care and service across communities, will provide valued support for Carnegie Hall programs that connect people throughout New York City with the transformative power of great music.

The partnership includes support for the Carnegie Hall Citywide concert series, which partners with local community organizations to bring free musical performances representing music of all genres to neighborhoods in all five boroughs of New York City throughout the year, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to engage and be inspired by live music.

It also includes sponsorship of a special February performance in Zankel Hall, the centerpiece of a recently-announced series of Well-Being Concerts at Carnegie Hall. This new series explores the impact that live music can have on individual and collective well-being with eight curated Well-Being Concerts, open to the public, presented in the 2023–2024 season. The event, scheduled for Sunday February 4 at 6:00 p.m. and supported by Northwell Health, will feature renowned trumpeter, composers, bandleader and educator Sean Jones leading his NYO Jazz All-Star Quartet in an “in the round” performance that will invite concertgoers to enjoy live jazz while also exploring concepts of self-care and mindfulness through music. Additional private Well-Being Concerts presented by Carnegie Hall will be offered for groups of veterans, healthcare workers, seniors, and other invited community members throughout the 2023–2024 season. Each hour-long concert experience will combine mindfulness, meditation, and performance in an immersive, nurturing space.
