Celebrated singer-songwriter Michael Feinstein has spent more than four decades preserving and celebrating the Great American Songbook, dedicating his life to sharing the music of the 20th century’s most beloved composers and lyricists with audiences around the world. Through his Standard Time with Michael Feinstein concert series, he regularly lends his suave vocals, charismatic stage presence, and compelling storytelling to performances in Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall.
In his June 18 concert backed by the Carnegie Hall Big Band, Feinstein will pay tribute to two of his dear friends, creative inspirations, and musical heroes: vocal icon Johnny Mathis and Oscar-winning composer Henry Mancini. The program will feature classic songs including “Misty,” “Wild Is the Wing,” “Days of Wine and Roses,” and “Peter Gunn,” while also taking a deeper dive into Mathis and Mancini’s mutual catalogue of enduring hits. This performance is part of Carnegie Hall’s ongoing United in Sound: America at 250 festival.
