Founded in 1995 on the idea that music has the unique power to heal and rehabilitate, the IMNF is part of the CenterLight Health System, a leading provider of long-term care in New York City, Long Island, and Westchester. The IMNF seeks to establish new knowledge and develop therapies that awaken, stimulate, and heal through the extraordinary power of music. The IMNF provides clinical music therapy for thousands of older adults and their caregivers in residential and community-based healthcare programs, and also conducts research on how music therapy can promote healing and wellness in people of all ages.
