Susan Graham first sang at Carnegie Hall with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra on St. Patrick's Day in 1990. Thirteen years later—having performed here several times in the intervening period—she made her solo recital debut, accompanied by pianist Malcolm Martineau, in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage.
The program for the evening included Brahms's Zigeunerlieder; Debussy's Proses lyriques; Poulenc's Quatre poèmes de Guillaume Apollinaire; and Berg's Seven Early Songs.
