'The Past is a Constant Source of Newness for the Present'

On March 5, David Robertson conducts the St. Louis Symphony and violinist Leila Josefowicz in a performance of Thomas Adès's Violin Concerto, "Concentric Paths."

Here, Robertson explains how the Adès concerto relates to Vaughan Williams's Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, with which it is paired on the first half of the program.
