Carnegie Hall Choral Institute: Transient Glory in Action

Thursday, February 16 was the first day of a three-day workshop—the Transient Glory® Symposium, a partnership of the Carnegie Hall Choral Institute and Young People's Chorus of New York City™ (YPC). The eight conducting fellows are working with YPC director Francisco Núñez, guest conductors, and composers to prepare for three concerts around the city that are taking place this week. Get a sneak peek of the workshop in action, as the composers collaborate and rehearse in preparation for the evening performances across New York City.

You can be a part of Transient Glory by attending tonight's performance at the 92nd Street Y or Saturday's grand finale at Carnegie Hall. Each concert is hosted by WNYC's John Schaefer, who leads insightful discussions with the composers. Performances each evening feature the thrillingly brilliant JACK Quartet, as well as conductor Francisco J. Núñez.
