From the Carnegie Hall Archives: Maestro Muti's Baton

Later this evening, Riccardo Muti and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra kick off Carnegie Hall’s 2012–2013 season with Carmina Burana’s exciting rhythms and powerful melodies.

In a recent interview about the history of the Philadelphia Orchestra at Carnegie Hall, our Archives and Rose Museum Director Gino Francesconi displayed one of Maestro Muti's batons, describing it as "a real treasure."
