Instruments of the string family are well represented by students in Naples.

Through Link Up, the Hall’s largest partnership program, WMI collaborates with a diverse group of professional, regional, and community orchestras to support quality music education around the world. Link Up pairs orchestras with students in grades 3–5 at schools in their communities to explore orchestral repertoire and fundamental musical skills, including creative work and composition, through a hands-on music curriculum.

This yearlong program culminates in engaging, interactive concerts in which students perform from their seats along with the orchestra on stage. Since 2003 when Carnegie Hall first shared Link Up with a select group of orchestras, the program has grown to serve 70 orchestras and approximately 300,000 students and teachers in four languages across the US, Canada, Spain, and Japan during the 2014–2015 season.
