We conclude our video series leading up to the American Composers Orchestra April 5 concert in Zankel Hall with a second video from composer Judith Sainte Croix, whose Vision V receives its world premiere that night.
Here, Sainte Croix turns from Bear Mountain to the light and shadows of New York City and the Hudson River for inspiration for Vision V, which she describes as a "sonic drama" and "a hero's journey through life." The composer also compares the experience of working with the American Composers Orchestra to that of working with more conventional ensembles.
Judith Sainte Croix discusses her Vision V—Part 2: Light and Methaphors.
