• Britten 100

Benjamin Britten is best known for his vocal music: choral works, songs and song cycles, and a series of engaging operas that changed the art form. This season, Carnegie Hall pays tribute to one of the most remarkable British composers of the 20th century in celebration of the centenary of his birth with a series of performances of his vocal masterpieces and other compositions from his vast spectrum of works.

Renowned tenor Ian Bostridge, whose recent recording of Britten songs is available now on the EMI label, performs alongside countertenor Iestyn Davies, baritone Joshua Hopkins, and pianist Julius Drake in Zankel Hall on October 20.

Starting next Monday, August 26, you can purchase single tickets for Britten 100 concerts and the rest of Carnegie Hall's 2013–2014 season.
