Weill Recital Hall
Founder and President of the Japan Harmonica Association Chiang-Ming Cheng studied under Master Hidero Sato, who developed a novel method of playing the tremolo harmonica that enables performers to concurrently play the melody and accompaniment of a song on a single instrument. This technique allows the harmonica player to emulate instruments like the mandolin and violin. For the first time, the Japan Harmonica Association brings this unique performance method to the United States, in collaboration with the New York-based harmonica artist Jia-Yi He.
