Aleyson Scopel, Piano

Brazilian pianist Aleyson Scopel began studying the piano at age 14. He graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music with distinction and has won numerous piano competitions, including the Nelson Freire and Magda Tagliaferro Competitions. A champion of contemporary music, in this concert he performs the world premiere of Almeida Prado’s Celestial Charts XV, as well as works by Schubert and Mozart.
