Carnegie Kids: Elizabeth Mitchell and You Are My Flower

Resnick Education Wing
Rooted in the traditional American music of the Carter Family and Woody Guthrie, Elizabeth Mitchell and You Are My Flower also perform family-friendly versions of favorites by David Bowie, Van Morrison, and the Allman Brothers. Mitchell has performed with children’s favorite Dan Zanes, sung with Ziggy Marley on his album Family Time, and makes music with “a purity and beauty that transcends the children’s genre” (Los Angeles Daily News). The group’s album Blue Clouds was nominated for a 2013 Grammy Award for Best Children’s Album.
