Jean Muller, Piano

Weill Recital Hall
In this concert, pianist Jean Muller performs his interpretation of Liszt’s Transcendental Etudes. Liszt’s repertoire is dear to the pianist, who has recorded his Sonata in B Minor twice and performs an all-Liszt recital. Muller’s CD Transcendence is the culmination of twenty years of work that began as a childhood dream to one day play the composer’s masterpieces. Along with the Etudes, Muller performs Liszt’s Mephisto Waltz No. 1, in an arrangement by Vladimir Horowitz.
