Malek Jandali Trio

Weill Recital Hall
Composer-pianist Malek Jandali makes his Carnegie Hall debut, premiering new chamber works for piano, cello, and oud. The evening showcases the release of his new album Syrian Symphony, which includes the composition "Phoenix in Exile," recorded in London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Malek's compositions integrate Middle Eastern modes into Western classical forms and harmony. They range from chamber music to large-scale orchestral works, including concertos for violin and piano. His compositions have been performed by orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Stockholm Solister, and the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra.
