The Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony returns for its second Carnegie Hall engagement with a program of diverse, original music for wind band/ensemble. Soloists include George Curran, bass trombone (New York Philharmonic); Mark Yancich, timpani (Atlanta Symphony Orchestra); and Jauvon Gilliam, timpani (National Symphony Orchestra). They perform the music of Gillingham, Broughton, Grainger, Paulus, Cuong, and Pitts. The AYWS is joined by the Grand Street Community Band as a guest ensemble.
