MidAmerica Productions’ Memorial Day weekend of concerts begins with Orff’s Carmina Burana conducted by Michael Short. On the same concert, conductors Cheryl Dupont and Ruth Dwyer lead children’s choirs in works by Cynthia Baney, David Brunner, Bob Chilcott, Gwyneth Walker, Irving Berlin, and Rodgers & Hammerstein. Highlighting their performance is a Dwyer/Ellis arrangement of “America the Beautiful.” Participating choruses hail from California, Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, and Louisiana.
