New England Symphonic Ensemble

Monday, May 29, 2017 8 PM Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage
Two modern classics, Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living conducted by David R. Thye, and Ola Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass conducted by William Skoog, are performed on Memorial Day Monday. On the Ensemble Spotlight Series, Kim Carson leads works by Brahms, Guillaume, Dan Forrest, Joseph M. Martin, and Rollo Dilworth; and John Cornish conducts works by Elgar, Paul Aitkin, Luke Carlson, and Nick Glennie-Smith. Participating choruses come from Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Tennessee.
