Weill Recital Hall
Spanish soprano Laura Alonso Padín and pianist Yelena Kurdina perform "Sounds of Spain" (Son de España), a song recital that samples Spanish folklore through the classical compositions of 20th century luminaries Rodolfo Halffter, Joaquín Rodrigo, Joaquín Nin, Eduardo Toldrá, and Xavier Montsalvatge. Rarely heard works that highlight classical song and composers from Galicia, Ms. Padín’s birthplace, closes the program.
