"St. John Passion"

Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage
This performance of J.S. Bach’s choral masterpiece, St. John Passion, celebrates 75 years of MasterVoices (formerly The Collegiate Chorale). To pay tribute to MasterVoices’ founder Robert Shaw, who believed the Passion should be a communal experience, the performance features a new, modern-day English translation and an audience sing-along component. MasterVoices’ Artistic Director Ted Sperling leads the 150-voice chorus and the period-instrument orchestra New York Baroque Incorporated in this dramatic work.
