The Cecilia Chorus of New York with Orchestra

Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage
Music Director Mark Shapiro and ASCAP Award-winner The Cecilia Chorus of New York (180 voices with orchestra) present Brahms's Requiem and the world premiere of a commissioned work, A Garden Among the Flames, from Krakow-based Syrian composer, Zaid Jabri. Jabri's piece is based on Sufi text by Ibn Arabi, with additional text by Columbia University poet Yvette Christiansë.
