Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage
In 1747, his health and eyesight failing, Bach began work on his monumental Mass in B minor. Looking back and looking forward at musical styles, and drawing on his intense faith, Bach created his final gift to the generations who have followed him. The Oratorio Society of New York under the direction of Kent Tritle performs this beloved masterpiece.
