Neighborhood Concert: Sbongiseni Duma

New York Hall of Science
When singer, songwriter, dancer, and choreographer Sbongiseni Duma takes the stage, he transports audience members to South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal province. “Bongi” is joined by an ensemble that features African djembe drums, percussion, acoustic guitar, and bass for a family-friendly performance that explores the unique features of South African music, including vocal clicks, call and response, and dance moves that will have audience members up out of their seats.
