Capstone Performance for the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory Wind Ensemble Invitational
Monday, February 12, 2018 8 PM Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage
The Baldwin Wallace Conservatory Symphonic Wind Ensemble performs Kevin Puts’s Millennium Canons, followed by Frank Ticheli conducting his jazz-influenced Blue Shades. The first half concludes with the world premiere of Clint Needham’s Concerto for Brass Trio, written for The Cleveland Orchestra/Baldwin Wallace Conservatory faculty brass trio, The Factory Seconds. The second half features a performance by the Brass of Peace, Darius Milhaud’s Suite Francaise, and Wagner’s Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral.
