Marcia M. Gallo, 2017–2018 Martin Duberman Fellow, discusses the underappreciated impact of feminism on LGBTQ activism in the late 1960s and early 1970s. From consciousness raising to mass mobilizations, from Radicalesbians to Gay Academics, the influence of feminism on queer activism was felt not just in New York City but around the country. Gallo, a visiting scholar from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, will be joined by special guests for an evening of lecture, conversation, images from the Library's collections, and more.
