URL Copied
The internationally acclaimed Israeli born sculptor Boaz Vaadia (1951-2017), whose work appears in many museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and whose sculpture Asaf and Yo’ah (2000) is permanently installed at the Time Warner Center, emigrated to the United States in 1975. Migrating to America is essential to Vaadia’s oeuvre. It is here that he created his iconic and unique figurative work using materials such as bluestone from the city’s sidewalks, a part of the urban landscape which he regarded to be as natural as the village in Israel where he grew up.
