Joe Kye: Migrants

Friday, March 29, 2019 7 PM Flushing Town Hall
URL Copied
Award-winning musician Joe Kye brings his unique blend of violin looping, electronics, singing, and storytelling to a program with special guest Jason Chu, a Chinese American hip-hop artist. Migrants tells the story of Kye’s life as an immigrant Asian American, weaving together original music, humorous stories, and cutting-edge technology. At a pre-show workshop on expressing cultural identity through sound, participants will consider how loop-building and songwriting can allow the performers to express themselves.
