Cristina Gómez Godoy by Felix Broede
Cristina Gómez Godoy is an outstanding oboist whose career has been rapidly rising. At age 22, she was appointed principal oboist of the legendary Staatskapelle Berlin, and has appeared with major orchestras and partnered with major chamber music artists around the globe. In her Carnegie Hall recital debut, she performs the effusive sonata by Saint-Saëns, Britten’s enchanting miniatures recalling ancient Greece, Schumann’s melodically splendid Romances, a showpiece by Pasculli based on Donizetti themes, and more.
