From Migration to Music: The Scotch-Irish Contributions to America
Friday, April 12, 2019
Glucksman Ireland House
The Scotch-Irish were part of the colonization of America before the country gained its independence from Britain. Migrating from the docks to the frontier, their music became a core national sound, influenced by the input of others in the New World. Michael Scoggins leads this two-day symposium that explores Scotch-Irish music in America.
