The Orchestra Now (TŌN), conducted by Leon Botstein, presents settings by four composers of Psalm 130, which reads “Out of the depths, Oh Lord, have I cried unto thee.” The performance includes the U.S premieres of works by Joachim Raff and Russian-born composer Lera Auerbach, as well as interpretations by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Virgil Thomson and Lili Boulanger, who composed her rendition at age 22. This concert is a co-presentation with the Trans-Siberian Arts Festival.
