Tees Valley Youth Orchestra is comprised of musicians from Northeast England. This concert marks the 50th anniversary of the orchestra and is the orchestra’s first time performing at Carnegie Hall. Previous appearances include the Florence International Festival of Youth Orchestra. This program opens with Mussorgsky’s Night on a Bald Mountain, followed by Ravel’s orchestration of Mussorgsky’s Pictures of an Exhibition and Mahler’s Symphony No. 1.
